Signs of Neglect

Following are photos of the Village sign on 79th street (right across from Compass Trucking).  The weeds get higher and higher everyday.  The fact that this sign is at the entrance to our Village and is so badly neglected is a sign of not caring.  John Koslowski travels all over the State of Illinois (almost 75 cities, towns and suburbs last year) and stated many times that he has never seen a Village sign that looks as neglected as the one in Justice.

At the Village Board Committee meeting on September 7, 2011 Trustee Sue Small told the Board that she would like to spend $1,400 to have new Village signs created.  She said that she would like businesses to sponsor the signs and have them maintain the signs and the area around them.  Would it take too much effort to hold Village employees accountable to do their jobs and maintain Village grounds?
